Known non-compliant functions and contents

The Danish Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment / Workindenmark has found following non-compliant contents and categorised them into three. There may be several issues in each category, displayed with headings, as well as an explanatory text. For instance, one topic could be the lack of alternative text.

Three categories are:

  • functions and contents that do not comply with the Web Accessibility Act
  • functions and conents that do not comply with the Web Accessibility Act and fall under the exception of a disproportionately large burden, e.g. a report or guide which is very extensive and with a small readership.
  • functions and contens that are not covered by the Web Accessibility Act such as subtitling of videos that are broadcasted live.

Non-compliant functions and contents

The website may have syntax errors.

Syntax errors have been reviewed and corrected on the most frequently visited pages, such as front page, CV creation, information, and job display. However, there may be syntax errors on the remaining pages. These will be resolved on an ongoing basis as adjustments are made to the pages.

Some non-accessibility-optimised PDF-files

The checklists for ICS East, South, North and West are not accessibility optimised. These checklists expect to be removed from the website during autumn 2020.

Colour contrast is not sufficient on some texts on the visual elements, including images

Some of the texts on the visual elements do not meet the colour contrast ratio requirement of at least 4.5: 1.

Non-compliant functions and contents due to a disproportionate burden

E-learning course "Make it Work in Denmark" concerning job search in Denmark does not meet the requirements for textual descriptions, the structure of headings, operation without sensory properties, alt- texts, colour contrasts and images that contain texts.

Our e-learning course was created in a third-party program, Articulate Rise 360 and was exported for use on the website. The program does not support some of the requirements of the Accessibility Act. The compliance to all the requirements of the Accessibility Act would require a rebuild of the e-learning course on the CMS used. This would result in a relatively large financial burden and disproportionate use of resources without achieving the same user-friendliness and a variety of features as in Articulate Rise 360.  Articulate is addressing some of these requirements, which do currently not comply, and new features will be introduced. Some of the issues are solved on an ongoing basis when launching new features.

Non-compliant functions and contents that are not covered by the Act

Lack of visual interpretation in the videos

Video material published before 23 September 2020 does not have visual interpretation, since the requirement regarding visual interpretation only applies to videos posted after that date.

The administration module for Workindenmark and the Danish Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment Employees has a mixed-use of Danish and English as well as an overlap of textual content.

The administration module works as an extranet for employees in Workindenmark and the Danish Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment. The module is a login-secured area. It was launched in 2014 in its current format. This issue will be addressed when a significant change in the module is conducted. Intra- and extranets, published before 23 September 2019, are subject to the requirements of the Act from the time when these are substantially revised (after 23 September 2019).
