Are you studying for your Master’s degree and are you ready to take on the role as Project intern which will give you practical experience within project management as well as within coordinating patient engagement activities across Novo Nordisk? Then you might be the new intern we are looking for in Patient Relations.
About the department
The Patient Relations unit drives global patient engagement and partnership initiatives in support of the Novo Nordisk Patient Strategy. Our focus is to connect and support our stakeholders, challenge ‘business as usual’, drive knowledge sharing, and transforms opportunities into patient-focused insights, partnerships and advocacy.
This internship is a unique opportunity to contribute to building significant new partnerships, while supporting the day-to-day operation of a fast-paced department. You will be responsible for driving internal and external activities, which includes coordination of patient engagement activities across Novo Nordisk as well as interaction with key stakeholders such as Global Patient Organisations and industry networks within our key therapy areas.
We are looking to accelerate our patient relations platforms where we are closely involved with other functions across the Novo Nordisk value chain, affiliates, as well as industry leaders from across the globe. You will be instrumental in securing timely input from stakeholders, preparing presentations, maintaining our internal SharePoint pages, and setting up meetings for both internal and external stakeholders. You will also be providing ad-hoc project management support to our large portfolio of patient relations consultancy projects, which are executed in collaboration with functional teams across our therapy areas. This will include assisting with planning and coordination of workshops, creation of visual materials and outcome reports.
•Internship period: The internship position is a full-time position for 6 months
•Start date: 1 August 2017
•A Danish full time work permit is required
We are looking for an intern who is passionate about stakeholder Engagement, Advocacy, Communication, and making a difference for people afflicted by chronic diseases. You will be given a high level of responsibility as you will have close direct interaction and manage relationships with our key stakeholders including leaders of global Patient Organisations. You are solutions-oriented, service-minded, and able to communicate proficiently in English, both spoken and written. Furthermore, you are proactive and dedicated, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You are currently enrolled as a master student, preferably in a Danish institution or with an address in Denmark. You are likely studying for your Master's degree in Communication, Public health, Political science, Business management or similar. It is also an advantage if you have experience with the Pharmaceutical industry and/or working with Non-Governmental Organisations. You are a Microsoft Office super user; especially when it comes to PowerPoint and Excel.
You are an outgoing person with a "can-do-attitude", a healthy sense of humour and a strong drive and dedication. Skills such as multitasking, managing a high level of information, problem-solving, ability to work across functions, as well as creativity will help you in this internship. It is a clear advantage if you are quick to gain an overview of processes, have a flair for IT, and that you have a structured and systematic mind-set.
Finally, you must have a strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your own learning and deliverables.
