About the department
You will be working in the Novo Nordisk Government & Industry Relations team. We engage and drive activities with governments and industry associations to create a supportive environment for people with diabetes and Novo Nordisk. You will join a small team of highly skilled colleagues all engaged in Danish, European and Global political and policy issues. We are located at Novo Nordisk Headquarter in Bagsværd, Copenhagen.
A vast number of important framework conditions for Novo Nordisk are influenced by European politics, policies and legislation.
In close collaboration with line of business, you will develop and manage Novo Nordisk Headquarters’ European government relations strategy to drive relations with European politicians, officials and key European trade associations located in Brussels. You will proactively engage with key external stakeholders, support senior management, develop internal briefings and ensure that relevant government affairs and issue management plans are in place.

The job requires some travel to primarily Brussels but also to other European countries and occasionally globally. Expected travel will be around 50-70 days a year.
You hold a Master’s degree in the field of political science, business administration, economics, law or equivalent experience and you have a minimum of 4-6 years’ experience from EU institutions, European administration or a similar role in the private sector (ideally the pharmaceutical industry).
You have an in-depth understanding of the European political system and a good understanding of the business environment of Novo Nordisk. A strong personal network to key European decisions makers (policy makers, patient associations, industry organisations, life science sector etc.) is crucial.
You combine an international mind-set with a track record of success in project management and in providing support to senior management (briefings, presentations etc.). You are well-respected and excellent in building positive relations. You have great strategic, analytical and communicative skills are structured, flexible and solution-oriented. You thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy working with multiple stakeholders on diverse agendas and priorities.
