About the department
You will be part of a young, dynamic department consisting of 20 dedicated employees with backgrounds from top-tier consultancies or with previous Novo Nordisk experience. The aspiration for the department is to grow it in size and continue to deliver projects across the value chain. We are ambitious and constantly strive for excellence. We invest in development of our employees and strive to give the same steep learning curve as in top-tier consultancies. The projects give exposure to Senior Management and the department is recognised as one of the key talent incubators in Novo Nordisk with several examples of alumni moving on to senior positions across the organisation.
You will be responsible for driving one or more projects including the daily management of the project team(s) consisting of 2-5 members. As a Senior Project Manager, you will act as partner on other projects providing guidance and ensuring direction and quality. Projects include strategy, organisational development and executive decision support. You will be exposed to different organisational areas throughout Novo Nordisk in Denmark and globally. As Senior Project Manager, you will be part of the Novo Nordisk Consulting Leadership team responsible for the development of the department including recruiting, people reviews, coaching, staffing, project prioritisation and department strategy. Through this you will build a strong international network and further develop your leadership skills. We expect you to take an active role in the continuous development of the department.
The person we are looking for has completed a relevant Master's degree (Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or the like) with excellent results. You have more than 4 years of experience with project management from a well-reputed management consultancy.
You have strong people skills, are motivated by driving change and improvements involving stakeholders at all organisational levels. You are able to simultaneously lead complex projects while ensuring the professional development of the department and providing sparring to other projects. You have a high level of drive, initiative and persistence and you are result-oriented. Furthermore, you are analytical, structured, and ambitious and like to be challenged. Finally, excellent communication and presentation skills are required.
We invest significantly in both professional and personal development and have an individualised development plan and training program for each employee. Through successful project management and exposure to senior management, you will find that our unit offers highly attractive career opportunities. We have a strong track record for exporting talents to management positions across Novo Nordisk’s core value chain and support areas.
