Production Engineering (PE) Blades is accountable for delivering the manufacturing Production Basis, including development of process and tooling of the blades in Vestas. In the Manufacturing Tooling and Value Engineering team we are responsible towards Blade factories on tool development and on-going support for the blades production to wind turbines. The team counts 50+ employees located in Lem, Denmark, Isle of Wight, UK and in Chennai, India.
The tooling team support both new product developments and all our blades factories in running production around the world. The team is a part of Blades Production Engineering consisting of 100+ employees.
You will enter into a dynamic department, living the PE identity:

Taking the lead and accountability to improve FMEA on an on-going basis.
Your primary responsibilities will cover to:
Set safety as first priority, hereby in line with HS&E policy
Be responsible for providing the most robust, reliable, efficient solutions with highest performance at the lowest cost
Assist in delivery of design work to gate reviews, matching specifications for function, cost, quality and time
Generate solutions to design challenges, in order to fulfill the product and technology roadmaps
Be responsible of adherence to all external standards as e.g. CE & UL standards etc. as well as internal specifications and standards
Work successfully with project delivery teams by living up to the Vestas Values
Keep yourself continuously up-dated on Vestas Way to Market and ensure adherence to methodology and tools
Ad hoc communication with all Blade factories to be able to support and deliver as agreed
An Engineering degree on bachelor level or similar, preferably Mechanical or Marine engineer
Experience with or knowledge from Manufacturing and Design for Manufacturing
Knowledge from cost out projects is advantageous
We expect that you:
Are capable of solving problems by using relevant methods and tools
Can make risk assessments by using relevant FMEA tools
Are interested in driving/coordinating technical projects cross departments and cultures
Speak and write English fluently
Probably have experience with 3D CAD modelling
Have strong skills within documentation and specification
Possess an ambitious mindset
Are a good communicator across organizational levels
