Transport and Logistics

A brief introduction to the Transport and Logistics sector in Denmark

The transportation sector is a vital part of Danish economy. Denmark consists of the peninsula of Jutland (Jylland) and a number of islands. The largest and most densely populated are Zealand, on which the capital Copenhagen is situated, Funen, and the North Jutland Island. The islands are well connected by bridges, and transportation by road is therefore the preferred choice. Driving from the North to the East of Denmark takes no longer than six hours.
