World-class Danish manufacturing

Denmark is a world leader in high-tech, high-quality products, thanks to a strong knowledge base, a well-educated workforce, a flexible labour market, and long traditions of combining production with R&D. In addition, there are numerous small businesses, each specialising in different fields. Industrial manufacturing is a fundamental pillar of the Danish industry, with products ranging from generators, pumps, and thermostats to wind turbines and robotics holding worldwide recognition.

The industry is tremendously diverse with successful businesses ranging from global corporations to small, family-owned operations. Danish industrial manufacturing contributes to over a fifth of the total annual export. Innovation has now become increasingly vital in industrial manufacturing. The industry is constantly adopting the latest digitised, highly automated production technology. This proactive approach to smart automation puts Denmark at the forefront of Industry 4.0.

Manufacturing is particularly strong in the Middle, Western, and Southern areas of Jutland, which means that more than 90% of employees within this sector live outside of The Capital Region. So, if you want to develop your skills in modern product manufacturing, Denmark is the place to be.
